As our organization continues to grow internationally, we are looking for a highly skilled Remote HR Expert (German-Speaking) to support our HR operations, ensure compliance with German HR standards, and strengthen our people processes across the organization.

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and committed HR Expert with strong knowledge of German HR processes, outstanding organizational abilities, and the energy to work in a fast-paced, remote, multicultural environment.

This role requires someone who is hands-on, hyperactive in execution, and capable of independently managing HR tasks with excellent accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

1. German HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure HR processes, documentation, and employment practices comply with German labor regulations.

  • Prepare, manage, and maintain contracts, employee files, onboarding documents, and compliance records.

  • Support payroll coordination by providing accurate HR data and documentation.

  • Manage employee lifecycle processes in accordance with German standards (onboarding, changes, offboarding).

2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for various roles: job postings, sourcing, interviews, and candidate selection.

  • Assess candidates for cultural and role fit and provide structured feedback.

  • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and ensure a smooth recruitment workflow.

3. HR Administration & Documentation

  • Maintain HR databases, HRIS/ATS platforms, and internal documentation.

  • Create and update SOPs, policy documents, and HR guidelines.

  • Prepare HR reports, statistics, and updates for senior management.

4. Employee Relations & Support

  • Act as the primary HR contact for employees regarding HR processes, policies, and administrative questions.

  • Support employee engagement initiatives, remote team activities, and feedback loops.

  • Help managers understand HR procedures, performance management steps, and employee support processes.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Strong professional experience in HR, preferably with background in German HR processes.

  • Solid understanding of German employment laws, documentation standards, and HR compliance.

  • Languages working in fast-paced environments with high attention to detail.

  • Ability to work hyperactively, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in HRIS/ATS tools.

  • Fluency in German and English is required.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to support a mission-driven, technology-oriented NGO.

  • A dynamic, multicultural work environment built on trust and collaboration.

  • Professional growth opportunities across HR, administration, and people development.

  • 100% remote work flexibility.
