We are currently building our team and are now searching for

 Senior Project Manager Landfill and Waste Management (m/f/d) – East Europe

Your daily tasks:

• coordinate international waste management projects, ensuring successful project delivery from planning to implementation.
• Serve as an advisor on waste management for public authorities and governments, providing expert guidance on sustainable waste practices.
• Perform cost and budget calculations, including cost-benefit analyses (CBA), and design comprehensive business plans.
• Develop capacity-building programs, providing training and education for municipal, public, and private sector stakeholders.
• Conduct full-option analyses (technical, financial, legal, environmental, institutional) for waste management projects.
• Manage waste management planning and project development, including the preparation and evaluation of master plans and feasibility studies at both local and national levels.
• Conduct waste analysis and prepare funding applications, including those financed by sources such as KfW and EBRD.
• Lead tender preparation and contract management in accordance with FIDIC standards.
• Provide institutional and legal consulting services, including environmental impact assessments.
• Oversee project implementation in waste prevention, waste collection/transport systems (e.g., transfer stations, drop-off centers), recycling, and EPR schemes.
• Plan and design waste treatment solutions, including composting, biogas, mechanical-biological treatment (MBT), and waste-to-energy (WtE) systems.
• Manage the tender preparation, technical specifications, and supervision of construction and operation of waste treatment plants.

We are looking for:

•  Master’s degree in civil engineering or comparable
• in-depth project experience in all service phases of the HOAI and the VOB
• 5 years of professional experience in the field of civil engineering planning, landfill construction or comparable knowledge in the field of waste management/landfill technology
• Strong Team Management Skills and Effective Communication Skills.
• Preferably, experience with the common MS Office products as well as CAD, Bricscad, BBSoft and ITWO tendering programs.
