We are currently building our team and now searching for

IT Security Specialist (m/f/d) – 100% Remote

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor networks and systems for security breaches, threats, and unusual activity.

• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls, firewalls, encryption protocols, and intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS).

• Investigate and respond to security incidents and provide post-event analyses and mitigation strategies.

• Work with IT and development teams to ensure secure configurations and code.

• Develop and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and standards.

• Ensure compliance with data protection laws and industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).

• Train and educate staff on cybersecurity awareness and best practices.

• Stay up to date with emerging security threats, trends, and technologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in IT security or related role.

• Strong knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, antivirus software, and IDS/IPS concepts.

• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).

• Languages with SIEM tools and threat intelligence platforms.

• Understanding of common operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Relevant certifications (preferred): CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, GIAC.
