As part of this growth, we are expanding our SIERA AI / ShareSuite engineering team and are now searching for an experienced

AI Platform Engineer (m/f/d) – RAG, LLM & Spring Boot

Your daily tasks:

Design, build, and scale Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, including chunking strategies, embeddings, and vector search

Integrate and orchestrate multiple Large Language Models (OpenAI, Gemini, Groq, local LLMs)

Develop and maintain backend services using Java Spring Boot 3.x and microservice architectures

Build and optimize ingestion pipelines for structured and unstructured documents (PDF, DOCX, XLSX, OCR)

Implement structured prompting, tool calling, and AI automation workflows

Collaborate closely with ShareSuite modules (Projects, Files, Teams) to embed AI capabilities

Optimize performance, caching, and AI orchestration for enterprise-scale usage

Ensure clean APIs, secure authentication (JWT), and reliable async processing

What we are looking for:

Must-Have Skills

Strong professional experience with Java Spring Boot (3.x)

Hands-on experience designing and operating RAG architectures

Languages with vector databases such as pg vector, Qdrant, or Pinecone

Practical experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Gemini, Groq, or similar)

Strong document parsing experience (PDFBox, Apache POI, OCR pipelines)

Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, async flows, and JWT-based security

Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style

Very good English communication skills – verbal and written

Ability to work fully remote with a stable internet connection

Preferred:

Languages with Lang Chain or Lang Graph

Python experience for AI or data processing pipelines

Knowledge of LoRA or supervised fine-tuning (SFT) workflows

Languages with Docker, Redis, and AI infrastructure tooling

Background in enterprise SaaS or platform engineering is a plus
